Grounds Maintenance Semi Skilled (Cemeteries)
Annual Salary: £32,442 - £33,870
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full time, 35 hours per week
About The Role:
Working in this lively and diverse inner London borough you will have the opportunity to contribute to delivering a quality grounds maintenance service across Islington’s Cemeteries.
You will have the responsibility of leading a small team to provide an effective and
efficient grounds maintenance service.
You will need to be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of good
horticultural maintenance techniques, cemeteries experience and customer care of
working around head stones and memorials desirable but not essential.
Carry out quality and safety inspections of work carried out under your direction.
Have a proven record of leading staff to deliver quality front-line services.
Hold and maintain a valid Manual Driving License and undertake regular training as
required.
You will need to have:
- Experience desirable but not essential in the maintenance of cemeteries.
- Proven working knowledge and application of horticultural skills
- Ability to use various horticultural power tools
- To undertake regular training as required.
