An exciting opportunity for a reliable, experienced gardener to join a small, friendly team on a 40-acre private estate with 9-10 acres of beautifully designed gardens, a large vegetable garden and orchard near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, in one of the best private gardens in the country.
This role offers the chance to work hands-on in a varied and rewarding environment, where your expertise will directly contribute to the success and beauty of the estate.
The Ideal Candidate Experience
- General garden maintenance and management of all plantings
- Experience with growing fruit, herbs and vegetables
- Sound horticultural knowledge
- Seasonal bulb planting
- Pruning of shrubs, roses, top & soft fruit
- Mowing, strimming and hedge trimming
- Tree maintenance
- Assisting with greenhouse management & maintenance
- Assisting with irrigation, water features & swimming pool
- Weed & pest control through organic means where possible
- Assisting with composting
- Assisting with lawn cutting, aeration, fertilising, edging, verticutting & scarifying
- Other estate duties are likely to include maintenance of gravel paths, garden sculptures, garden furniture, tennis court & assisting with maintenance of all garden machinery
- PA1/PA6 spraying certificate desirable
- NVQ3/RHS horticulture qualification desirable The Ideal
